Description of Organisation:

Belgrade is the capital and largest city of Serbia. The city lies on two international waterways, at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, where Central Europe's Pannonian Plain meets the Balkans. Likewise, the city is placed along the pan-European corridors X and VII. With a population of 1,630,000 (official estimate 2007), Belgrade is the third largest city in Southeastern Europe, after Istanbul and Athens, and among the largest in Danubian Europe.

Modern Belgrade today consists from 17 municipalities. The city has an urban area of 360 square kilometers (139 sq mi), while together with its metropolitan area it covers 3,223 km² (1,244.4 sq mi).

The current mayor is Dragan Đilas of the Democratic Party. There are many foreign cultural institutions in Belgrade.

Belgrade has an extensive public transport system based on buses (118 urban lines and more than 300 suburban lines), trams (12 lines), and trolleybuses (8 lines).. Situated at the confluence of two major rivers, the Danube and the Sava, Belgrade has not many bridges—the two main ones are Branko's bridge and Gazela, both of which connect the core of the city to New Belgrade. With the city's expansion and a substantial increase in the number of vehicles, congestion has become a major problem; this is expected to be alleviated by the construction of a bypass connecting the E70 and E75 highways. Further, an "inner magistral semi-ring" is planned, including a new Ada Bridge across the Sava river, which is expected to ease commuting within the city and unload the Gazela and Branko's bridge. Two additional bridges are planned, both over the Danube.

In 2006, Financial Times' magazine Foreign Direct Investment awarded Belgrade the title of City of the Future of Southern Europe.

The Investment Agency  deals with the reconstruction and rehabilitation  of the public city institutions, including infrastructure investments that are financed from the City of Belgrade Budget and the loans of the EU financial Institutions

Description of Organisation:

Description of Organization:

Glamoc is a municipality in western Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is in Canton 10 in theGlamoc Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Glamoc is geographically relatively isolated and the nearest neighboring town is some 34 km away. Total population of Glamoc is approximately 5.000 inhabitants. Glamoc urban development has stalled since the end of Bosnia and Herzegovina civil war. Even then the city and its immediate surrounding were ill designed to accept volume of vehicular traffic, despite pronounced natural benefit of having enough space to develop. The municipal development plan tries to address this putting emphasis on bicycle and pedestrian mode of transport. Glamoc city and its neighbouring area lay in a flat plain that makes it easily accessible by bicycle and on foot. Lack of organized public transport increases the  level of usage of personal vehicle, which in part could be replaced with bicycle or pedestrian transport. The municipality of Glamoc will ensure safe mobility for pedestrians and cyclists through building of bike lanes and pedestrian sidewalks.
